What Edgie collects, and why

Sign-up asks for your name, email, account type, NDIS or screening number, and password. Your profile then asks for contact details, address, support information, plan details, and, for support workers, verification documents. Optional health details are stored only if you add them. The full rules are in our Privacy Policy.

• Name and display name. To create your account and show the name you choose to people you connect with.
• Password. So only you can open the account. It is stored as a one-way hash, not as the password you type.
• Email, phone, and emergency contact. To sign you in, confirm the account, reply to you, and reach someone if there is an urgent problem during support.
• Account type, and who manages a participant login. So a participant and a support worker see the right tools, and so workers know whose NDIS plan the account is for.
• NDIS number or worker screening number. To confirm you are eligible to use Edgie before a profile is listed. These numbers are encrypted when stored.
• Address. To schedule support, work out travel, and apply the right NDIS location pricing. Address lookup uses Google Maps.
• Support needs, goals, services, languages, and preferences. So participants and support workers can find a suitable match. Fields marked Public can appear in Edgie-Dex. Other fields stay on your account.
• Verification documents (such as screening checks, insurance, police check, first aid, and ABN). So support workers can be checked before they are listed. Your ABN is encrypted when stored.
• Plan, funding, and plan-manager details. So shifts can be recorded against the right NDIS plan and invoices go to the right person.
• Health details you choose to add (such as medications). So the people you share support with know how to support you safely. This is not asked at sign-up.
